Red for Heart Day by Sally, 27th Feb 2010  On Friday 26th February 23 people turned up in the lashing rain to walk at Winterton. The rain eased and stopped before we set off but the wind still persisted. We had great fun dressing up for Wear Red for Heart Day and a sum of just over a hundred pounds was raised this week for the British Heart Foundation. A big thanks to everyone who donated or took part in the quiz. There is still time to add your donation this following week if you missed out. The Mayor and Mayoress of Great Yarmouth offered their support and also gave a donation to this worthy charity, lots of fun was had by all! |

Good News for Fritton Woods by Sally, 20th Feb 2010 It\'s great news for Nordic Walkers that Fritton Woods has now been withdrawn as a potential site for mineral extraction, Woo Yeah! The campaign supporting Fritton Woods was spearheaded by Fritton Parish Council who managed to take a whopping 10\'000 strong petition to Norfolk County Council against the proposal. Common sense prevailed in the end! |

March Timetable by Sally, 19th Feb 2010  Your March timetable is now ready for you to print off. Click on TIMETABLES on the menu to your left, select the March timetable and click on \'Printer friendly version\' at the top right hand side of the heading. follow by file and print as you would do normally.You will notice I have included two longer walks this month, both 5 mile walks are on Tuesday afternoon. Before you attend you need to be confident you can manage the longer distance and brisker pace. If you have any doubt about whether they would be suitable for you, speak to myself or one of the volunteer Walk Leader and we will advise you. |
