Pudding Night
by Sally, 20th Mar 2010

Pudding NightSome of the Ladies from the walking group had a night out at Friends Bistro for a Pudding Night.
They had a dinner followed by 7 puddings YES 7 puddings!
Each of the puddings was rated and the winning pudding was Apple Strudel closely followed by White Chocolate Torte! (my favourite).
Thanks Diane for organising a great night out, and I look forward to the planned 60s quiz night and meal next month. (places really limited).

by Sally, 20th Mar 2010

Evening of Fun!Twenty walkers had a fabulous evening of fun at Great Yarmouth Greyhound Stadium. A meal was followed with an opportunity for a little flutter on the dogs.
Everyone enjoy themselves and I don\'t think anybody lost their shirt!
Amazingly Jerry, who claims to be a first timer, just kept picking the winner and went home with a pocket full of cash. Go Jerry!

Red for Heart Day
by Sally, 27th Feb 2010

Red for Heart DayOn Friday 26th February 23 people turned up in the lashing rain to walk at Winterton.
The rain eased and stopped before we set off but the wind still persisted. We had great fun dressing up for Wear Red for Heart Day and a sum of just over a hundred pounds was raised this week for the British Heart Foundation. A big thanks to everyone who donated or took part in the quiz. There is still time to add your donation this following week if you missed out.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Great Yarmouth offered their support and also gave a donation to this worthy charity, lots of fun was had by all!
